Movie Theaters
Going to the movies is always an enjoyable activity. But in college,
there are usually events that make going to the movies a little
more interesting. At most schools, there are student groups that
put on movie events such as "A movie in the Park", or something
similar. They usually involve getting a bunch of students together
for some late night snacks and projecting a newly released movie
up on a big-screen. The fun of it is meeting new people and the
opportunity of watching a movie in a new location, like in the
park or a grassy courtyard on campus. Other great events include
ski and snowboard video showings usually put on by the campus ski
and
snowboard
club, and also independent films put on by the film school. These
events can be found in the campus paper.
Another option is to stay in your dorm or apartment and have a
movie night with your friends. It is always a hassle to have to
go to the video store to pick out a movie and then have to get
back there in time to return it to avoid late fees. Many students
have discovered the convenience of Movielink(TM).
Movielink is a downloadable movie rental and purchasing service
that is much cheaper than video stores. You are able to download
the movie in a couple minutes and watch it on your computer or
tv. You can store the rental on your computer for 30 days and watch
the movie for up to 24 hours. You can rent movies for as little
as 99 cents or purchase them starting at $8.99 and either store
it on your computer or copy it to a cd. There are no membership
fees or late fees. The company offers a free trial
download so you can test things out with no risk.
**Note** - College students can get a 25% discount by registering
with a valid student email address (ends in ".edu"). |
