What to bring – Bike, Frisbee
Recommended Dorm – Baker or Farrand Hall. Central location. You can take classes in Baker Hall if you enroll in the BRAP program.
Worst Dorm – Stearns East and West in Williams Village. These dorms are far from campus, you have to take a bus to class.
Best Movie Theater – AMC 14 at Flatiron Crossing in Broomfield (off Highway 36).
Best Bar – The Walrus: pool tables, foosball, free peanuts, good atmosphere.
Best Mall – Flatiron Crossing
Top Stores – Satellite Board Shop: best store in Boulder for skate and snowboard apparel and boards, on 30th St.

Class/Registration Advice – Many students do poorly their freshman year and regret it later on. Take it seriously (these are the easiest courses you’ll take). Also, take a full load (15 units) so you won’t be behind.
Most Memorable Experience -
Study Abroad – I highly recommend the Semester at Sea program. Inquire at the study abroad office and apply 18 months in advance.
Words of Caution – The police crack down hard on parties the first couple weeks of school.
Party Tips – It’s acceptable to just walk into almost any party on the Hill.
