Textbooks
Buying Textbooks: There are a couple different ways you can acquire
textbooks.
•Book store - Most universities have an on-campus bookstore as well
as an unaffiliated off-campus bookstore. I have found that the
off-campus store has lower prices and a wider selection of used
textbooks.
•Online - Check the local paper for student-run websites
that exchange textbooks using online classifieds. A great new site
that I recommend is TextbookX .
They buy and sell new and used textbooks and general books up
to 90% off retail price. They also offer free shipping on retail
orders over $49.
Another helpful site is Valore .
They provide an easy way to find the textbooks you need by clicking
on the name of your school and then selecting the course name.
Selling Textbooks: You can usually sell your textbooks back to
the university bookstore as long as a new edition won't be used
next year. Another
option is to sell you old textbooks online.

**Student Tip** - You should always buy your textbooks well in
advance. Bookstores always run out before the first day of class
and the lines can be very long.
