Textbooks

Buying Textbooks: There are a couple different ways you can acquire textbooks.

•Book store - Most universities have an on-campus bookstore as well as an unaffiliated off-campus bookstore. I have found that the off-campus store has lower prices and a wider selection of used textbooks.

•Online - Check the local paper for student-run websites that exchange textbooks using online classifieds. A great new site that I recommend is TextbookX. They buy and sell new and used textbooks and general books up to 90% off retail price. They also offer free shipping on retail orders over $49.
Another helpful site is Valore. They provide an easy way to find the textbooks you need by clicking on the name of your school and then selecting the course name.

Selling Textbooks: You can usually sell your textbooks back to the university bookstore as long as a new edition won't be used next year. Another option is to sell you old textbooks online.

**Student Tip** - You should always buy your textbooks well in advance. Bookstores always run out before the first day of class and the lines can be very long.
